Venchi
Packaging
The project arose from taking part in a competition to design a limited-edition range of Venchi chocolate sets for the Asian market, created to mark two of the most cherished festivals: the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year.
The challenge was twofold: to engage with two festivals with deep cultural roots, where the packaging is not merely a container but a gesture of respect and sharing, whilst remaining true to Venchi’s Italian identity and heritage.
The result strikes this balance: scenes from an Italian village reinterpreted through symbols associated with the two celebrations, from the full moon as an image of completeness and reunion, to a colour palette and visual scheme that convey warmth, festivity and a sense of luxury.
The range is available in a variety of formats and finishes, from rectangular boxes to circular cases, creating a coordinated collection designed for gift-giving and the experience of unwrapping.
This was a group project that brought together a range of skills, from illustration to 3D rendering, within a shared workflow where every stage – from concept art to the final rendering of the mock-ups – contributed to the overall coherence of the project. The project was shortlisted.
